Lucerne Farms Forage Feeds are an excellent foundation to build a horse’s feeding program around. They can be used to supplement the existing hay supply or totally replace the hay portion of the horse’s diet.
A horse needs to eat at least 1% to 2% of his body weight in forage per day in orderfor his digestive system to work properly. You determine the proper amount according to the horse’s age, weight, temperament and work load.

Ourfeeds can be fed on a pound for pound exchange of hay.

Our feed can be fed to the horse in a bucket, corner feeder mixed with his daily grain ration, even outside.
Remember to calculate teed by weight not volume.

As a guide, a 5 gallon water bucket packed full with our forage
weighs approximately 5 pounds. Always make changes to the horse’s diet gradually, over a period of 7 to 10 days.
